Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Manager to join our dermatology and aesthetic practice. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of our medical facility, providing leadership to the medical staff, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. The position is based at our Beverly Hills clinic, which houses our operating room and carries the AAAHC accreditation.
1. Leadership and Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the dermatology and aesthetic practice, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
- Provide leadership and guidance to medical staff, including dermatologists, aestheticians, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative personnel.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve practice operations and patient care.
- Coordinate with the practice owners and operations and brand managers to align goals in the medical department with the strategic vision of the practice.
- Manage all ordering and inventory of medical supplies, including vendor relationships. Negotiate pricing, ensuring adherence to budget standards.
- Manage medical staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for medical services and optimal patient care.
2. Patient Care Management
- Ensure that all patient care activities are conducted in accordance with established standards and regulations.
- Oversee patient flow and medical appointment scheduling to minimize wait times and enhance patient satisfaction.
- Address and resolve patient complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor patient care quality and implement improvement strategies as necessary.
3. Financial Management
- Monitor medical revenues collected ensuring actual collections reach budgeted targets
- Oversee billing and coding processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Manage relationships with insurance providers, ensuring timely reimbursement for services rendered as well as all required compliance paperwork
4. Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize liability and ensure patient and staff safety.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures. Maintain compliance with AAAHC for the facility.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in healthcare regulations and industry best practices.
5. Staff Development and Training
- Identify training and development needs for medical staff.
- Coordinate and conduct training sessions to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aesthetic and medical dermatology
- Qualification can range from highly trained experience MA to RN, PA, or NP
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in medical practice management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
