Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - Director of Aesthetic Service Line to lead the business and clinical efforts for our cosmetic dermatology service offerings. This hybrid role combines clinical expertise with sales leadership to drive growth, improve margin, enhance patient satisfaction, and ensure seamless integration of cosmetic services within our general medical dermatology practice. In addition to a base salary, the APP will receive individual commissions on services performed and quarterly performance-based compensation related to the success of the entire cosmetic team. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of dermatology and cosmetic procedures, and a proven track record for sales and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership:
- Perform cosmetic consultations and evaluations for patients seeking treatments such as injectables, laser treatments, chemical peels, and other non-invasive procedures.
- Administer treatments, including Botox, dermal fillers, laser therapies, and other advanced cosmetic procedures. Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient goals, skin assessments, and cosmetic product knowledge.
- Monitor patient progress, ensure high standards of care, and provide follow-up consultations as necessary.
- Receive individual commissions based on the cosmetic services you personally perform, incentivizing high-quality patient care and clinical success.
Sales and Business Development:
- Lead the cosmetic sales strategy by setting sales targets, identifying growth opportunities, and promoting cosmetic services and products within and across the dermatology practice.
- Expand the profit margin potential of the aesthetic service line using effective methods such as pricing, compensation, and productivity benchmarks across the practice.
- Conduct patient consultations with a focus on educating patients about cosmetic procedures, setting realistic expectations, and converting consultations into treatments.
- Develop and implement marketing initiatives, such as promotions, events, and educational seminars, to boost cosmetic sales.
- Earn additional compensation based on the overall performance of the cosmetic team, ensuring that team success is shared and rewarded.
- Train and mentor team members on cosmetic services and best practices in patient consultations and sales techniques.
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
- Ensure that all cosmetic services and procedures comply with applicable state and federal regulations, as well as clinic policies.
- Stay current with industry standards and regulations related to cosmetic dermatology, including HIPAA, OSHA, and other healthcare compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and charting in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Monitor the use of medical devices, ensuring they meet regulatory guidelines and are used safely within practice protocols.
Patient Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with patients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
- Provide exceptional patient care and support, answering questions and addressing concerns to ensure patient satisfaction and confidence in cosmetic services.
Collaboration and Team Leadership:
- Work closely with the practice’s providers, including physicians, APPs, aestheticians, and medical staff to ensure smooth integration of cosmetic services into daily operations.
- Act as a liaison between clinical staff and management to communicate sales trends, patient feedback, and areas for improvement.
- Keep up-to-date with new cosmetic procedures, products, and technologies in dermatology to provide the highest standard of care and service.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) program.
- Active and unrestricted APP license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in general medical dermatology that includes 2 years of experience in cosmetic dermatology or aesthetic medicine.
- Proven track record in sales and ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Strong knowledge of dermatologic cosmetic treatments, products, and procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and provide leadership within the cosmetic sales team.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role in cosmetic services.
- Certifications in Botox, dermal fillers, laser treatments, and other cosmetic procedures.
- Experience with marketing and patient acquisition strategies for cosmetic dermatology.
